Like the different colours in a spinning kaleidoscope, Django Django’s soundscapes have shimmered in ever-changing hues and styles over the years. The London-based quartet reinvents indie rock repeatedly with albums such as their vibrantly effervescent debut “Django Django” (2012) or the eclectic stylistic cocktail that is “Glowing In The Dark” (2021). They achieve this not merely through the fusion of psychedelic surf rock with new wave and progressive jams, or the organic blend of indietronica and alternative dance, as heard on “Off Planet” (2023). Their playful, hypnotic songwriting, with the sheer joy of experimental sounds and unpredictable structures audibly present in every note, has also been captivating fans and music critics around the world for some years now. Often enough the band has scooped album of the year awards and the like, and continues to expand its own stylistic universe of references in a thousand directions simultaneously. Anyone yet to experience this live now has the perfect opportunity.
