On 15 August, Andrew Meller returns to Monte 1350 Bar as brand curator and host for another elevated HEAT summer gathering above the Montenegrin coast. Known for blending powerful grooves, melodic emotion, and high-energy dancefloor moments, Andrew Meller continues shaping the soundtrack of the season in one of the region’s most unique open-air destinations.

Joining him as special guest is Kristin Velvet, one of the most exciting names in the modern house scene. Recognized for her hypnotic groove-driven sets and strong underground energy, Kristin Velvet brings a fresh and dynamic sound perfectly matched to the sunset atmosphere of Monte 1350 Bar.

Opening the evening is Luka Cikic, setting the tone for a journey from golden hour into nightfall above the Adriatic coast.

    Over the past decade Kristin Velvet’s life has been devoted to music in one way or another - first as a promoter & DJ in Tokyo, then as the Australian label manager of UK’s Domino Records. Today she is an essential figure of Berlin’s club scene, heading up the fantastic Arms & Legs records - the label from Daniel Steinberg & Nils Ohrmann - which has featured a long line of killer remixes & releases from respected artists including Oliver Dollar, Paul Johnson, 808 State, Nick Holder, Jay Haze, DJ W!LD & Crazy P. Velvet’s music acumen has been well documented within the label with her own productions gaining support by the likes of Maya Jane Coles who featured two of Velvet’s tracks in her BBC Radio 1 essential mix of 2015. Geared directly to the dance floor her releases have also received nods from key tastemakers including Resident Advisor who hailed her ‘Big Bam City’ EP as ‘gleefully maximal, unashamedly nostalgic house... this is fist-pumping good fun from start to finish'. In 2017 'Now or Never' was released on Darren's Emerson's DETONE label, becoming Velvet's most successful release to date, played & supported by by Adam Beyer, Eats Everything, Felix da Housecat, Luigi Madonna & Tiger Stripes. Velvet’s music taste is broad and her flexibility behind the decks sees her traversing confidently across genres and decades but always with a keen eye on the dancefloor, a place she inherently understands.
