    Hunx & His Punx

Hunx and His Punx are a California band featuring Seth Bogart, Shannon Shaw and Erin Emslie. Since they got back together in 2019 it seemed like teenage dreams were coming true. First they played John Waters’ birthday party, then they toured with Bikini Kill, got to open for The B-52s at their favorite festival and started recording their first album since 2013. They never would have guessed that it would end up taking 5 years to complete. Or that they would soon be going through some very brutal times - a tragic death, a global pandemic and being impacted of one by one of California’s worst wildfires in history.

On August 22, 2025, Hunx and His Punx will officially release their first album in 12 years, Walk Out On This World. It’s their first with Get Better Records, a label the band is excited to be working with due to their focus on queer and trans artists. Between 2010 and 2013, Hunx and His Punx released 3 albums - Gay Singles, Too Young To Be in Love and Street Punk, on Hardly Art and True Panther Sounds. They were celebrated and often associated with the queer core, punk and “garage rock” music worlds. From 2014-2019 they took a 5 year hiatus. Seth got really busy with visual art and recorded some solo albums. Shannon was equally as busy with her band Shannon & The Clams and releasing her first solo record. Now they have finally returned with their fourth album, Walk Out On This World.

  • Lorde
    Lorde

Few artists can capture the essence of an entire generation like Lorde. Since her breakthrough at just sixteen with the minimalist anthem Royals, the New Zealand singer-songwriter has redefined the sound of modern pop—intimate yet grand, poetic yet grounded in raw emotion. With her distinctive voice and profound lyrics, Lorde has built her own world where introspection and power go hand in hand. From the moody sophistication of Pure Heroine to the pulsating energy and self-discovery of Melodrama to the sun-drenched introspection of Solar Power, Ella Yelich-O'Connor's music is constantly evolving – each album represents a new chapter not only in her artistic career, but also in the emotional lives of her listeners. She writes like a novelist, creating vivid scenes and penetrating truths about youth, fame, loneliness, and joy. Now her career, including live performances, has entered a new phase defined by her latest album, Virgin. Her live performances are literally transformative. Whether she commands the stage in complete silence or leads a euphoric sing-along, Lorde creates an atmosphere that resonates emotionally. At Colours of Ostrava, Lorde will bring her unmistakable energy, a voice that moves between fragility and fire, and a repertoire of songs that have shaped a decade of pop culture. Expect moments of pure joy with the anthems What Was That and Green Light, as well as electrifying emotions with the ballads Liabitlity and Man Of The Year.

Others spend a year abroad after graduating from school or go on a journey of self-discovery – or both. Elle Coves, on the other hand, launched her own music career and released singles such as ‘Before I Fall Apart’ (2023) and ‘Summer’ (2023), which are racking up hundreds of thousands of streams on relevant platforms and causing a stir in the music press. Inspired by greats such as Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, and Maggie Rogers, the singer–songwriter – who was born in Germany and grew up in Ireland – also wants to make it big. This has been noticed not only by her parents and fans, but also by other talents in the UK, such as Lewis Capaldi and Dublin’s pop quartet Wild Youth, with whom Coves is going on tour. Her debut EP, ‘Selfishly Inclined’ (2024), showcases an artist who – with her brilliantly produced sound design – knows exactly what she wants, where she wants to go, and how to get there. There is no doubt about it, even in light of her latest single ‘Peace’ (2025): Elle Coves is giving pop music a much-needed update.

  • The War On Drugs
    The War On Drugs

The history of rock ’n’ roll is a story of splintering. Stop here for 10 seconds, and think: How many niches can you name without even trying, without having to pause for just a split second? They seem infinite and, already the better part of a century since rock’s bastard birth, still ceaseless, each new form defined by the mainframe’s perpetuity of flux.

But over the last 15 years, The War on Drugs have steadily emerged as one of the mightiest counterweights to this endless division, reconnecting rock’s manifold hyphenates with an ardor and ease that suggest they were never split far apart in the first place. Folk, indie, kosmiche, noise, roots, arena, psychedelic, soft, whatever—The War on Drugs are this century’s great rock ’n’ roll synthesists, obviating the gaps between the underground and the mainstream, between the abstruse and the anthemic, making records that wrestle a fractured past into a unified and engrossing present. The War on Drugs have never done that so well as they do with I Don’t Live Here Anymore, their fifth studio album and their most compulsive and bold set of songs to date.

  • Palace
    Palace

Palace have been making music together for over a decade. What started out as carefree jam sessions between Leo Wyndham, Rupert Turner and Matt Hodges in an airless studio in North London established a DIY ethos that remains intrinsic to the spirit of the band to this day.

In early 2025, Palace took a career leap releasing the Greyhound EP on their own label, Palace Presents - a collective they'd started in 2016 as a monthly night at The George Tavern in East London, which had quietly grown into something more intentional. A positive and protected space as Leo described it, away from the usual constraints of the music industry.

Kid was released in April 2026, together with the announcement of a 30-date tour of the USA and Canada in the Fall of 2026, culminating in a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

“Kid is about longing for a child an ocean away. It’s the ache we feel for our people when we’re separated from them. It doesn’t feel like a sadness or heaviness, but more an affirmation of that love, a primal release sung into the sunset as the road flies by."

The journey from an airless studio in North London to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles is a long one, and by doing things their way, Palace have managed to arrive still recognisably, unmistakably themselves.

Rubio is the identity of Francisca Straube; front-woman, drummer and multi-instrumentalist, whom we have known for decades as one of the members of Miss Garrison. Rubio quickly became the new talk of the indie town, mixing electronic, ambient and ethnic elements. With two studio album; PEZ (207) and Mango Negro (2020) she has become one of the projects destined to revamp the music scene in Latam. Her second studio album paved the way for international sessions like Kexp, Beat-1 and festivals like; Primavera Sound, Ruido Fest, The Great Escape, NRMAL, Selvámonos, Lollapalooza among other festivals have welcomed Fran´s talent. A whole experience to see her live. She's now working on her third album which they say we will be able to hear this year.

  • Cure For Paranoia
    Cure For Paranoia

Formed in the heart of Dallas but born on the highway, Cure for Paranoia came together during a “doomsday road trip” intended to be their last. Having recently been diagnosed with bipolar paranoid schizophrenia, frontman Cameron McCloud found clarity in a hot-boxed rental car; making music with collaborators Jay Analog and Tomahawk Jonez gave him peace of mind. “He said, ‘this is my cure for paranoia.’ Instantly, everyone’s eyes lit up,” a pivotal realization that cemented the group’s moniker. When the predicted earth-shattering meteor failed to hit, inspiration struck instead. As Jonez recalls, “On the way from Amarillo to Colorado Springs, like eight songs got written.”

Since then, Cure for Paranoia has shared bills with icons ranging from George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and Nas to Ludacris and Leon Bridges. Their resume includes stops at SXSW, Fortress Festival, and the NPR Tiny Desk Contest "On The Road" Tour, solidifying their status as festival favorites. While keen to distance themselves from standard regional production, they cultivated a signature "Trippy Soul infused hip hop" sound—a blend prioritized on their anchor project, the Work of A.R.T. EP.

One of the best music shows you can see. Ohio musicians Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have redefined live performance in just two years. In a short time, they have become leading representatives of the alternative scene, one of the most innovative and influential bands of the last decade. Get your masks, hoods, colored tape, body paint, makeup, and especially your vocal cords ready. Whether you've fallen head over heels for their world or are new to their work, their breathtaking show will captivate everyone and turn you into a fan in a matter of minutes. Twenty One Pilots have been returning to the Czech Republic regularly since their first stop in 2016. Symbolically, ten years after their first concert in Prague and four years after their debut at Colours, they are coming to Ostrava to conclude the story they began telling ten years ago. Thanks to their anthems, which explore personal struggles, resilience, and hope, they have built a deeply devoted community of fans who perceive their music not only as entertainment but as a lifeline. Their breakthrough came with the Grammy-winning single Stressed Out and the multi-platinum album Blurryface, which introduced the world to their signature blend of energetic performances and honest storytelling. The follow-up albums Trench, Scaled and Icy, Clancy, and Breach further expanded their creative vision and showed a band that is not afraid of evolution but remains true to its core message of connection and authenticity. Colours of Ostrava may be the last chance to see the band live for a long time. Don't miss this opportunity!
