Karl S. Williams is a singer-songwriter from Australia's east coast. Born and raised on Bundjalung (and later Gamilaroi) Country he has become a perennial wanderer with no real home. He plays the piano, guitar and banjo and sings hard songs of good times and good songs of hard times inspired by old country blues, gospel and mountain music.
At this show Karl will be showcasing songs from his next album which will be released over the course of 2026 as well as old favourites and choice selections from his ongoing explorations into African American spiritual traditions. In troubled times he finds great hope and wonder in these roots and simple folk songs delivered raw and unadorned - made for performing in a bookstore.

Doors will open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.
Feel free to BYO snacks or if you would like a meal prior to the show, The Australian Hotel Wingham Bistro is open from 5:30pm.

Karl S. Williams is just another broken man bumbling his way ineptly through life, trying and failing to do no harm in the process. In the sounds of old country blues, gospel and mountain music he hears the echo of that suffering but also something that feels like hope, and this inspires him to keep on writing and playing.
