Début du concert à 20h00 précises, sans première partie.Le groupe mythique RUSH fera un retour historique à Paris La Défense Arena le vendredi 19 février 2027 à l'occasion du Fifty Something Tour, 35 ans après sa seule et unique prestation dans notre pays. Geddy Lee et Alex Lifeson célébreront plus de 50 ans de musique et rendront hommage à leur compagnon de route, le regretté Neil Peart.RUSH a propulsé la musique rock vers des sommets inégalés et des territoires inexplorés, grâce à la collaboration unique entre Geddy Lee [basse, claviers, chant], Alex Lifeson [guitare, chant] et le regretté Neil Peart [batterie, paroles]. Avec plus de 45 millions d'albums vendus dans le monde, sept nominations aux GRAMMY® Awards, des milliards de streams et des intronisations au Canadian Music Hall of Fame, au Rock & Roll Hall of Fame®, ainsi qu’au Panthéon des auteurs-compositeurs canadiens, l'influence incalculable de ce trio pionnier s'est étendue sur plusieurs générations, attirant l'un des publics les plus fervents de l'histoire du rock. Ces musiciens ont réinventé et redéfini cette musique sans limites, trouvant un équilibre entre une interprétation d'élite, des voix emblématiques, des paroles provocantes et des récits intemporels, tant sur le plan sonore que thématique. RUSH a notamment obtenu « le troisième plus grand nombre d'albums studio consécutifs certifiés or/platine par un groupe de rock, derrière les Beatles et les Rolling Stones ». En outre, ils ont été nommés officiers de l'Ordre du Canada en 1996, ont reçu le Prix du Gouverneur général pour les arts du spectacle en 2012 et ont été récompensés par une étoile sur le Canada Walk of Fame et une autre sur le Hollywood Walk of Fame. Le monde a tragiquement fait ses adieux à Neil Peart le 7 janvier 2020, après son combat contre un cancer du cerveau. En hommage à celui-ci et à l'héritage que le groupe a forgé ensemble, Lee et Lifeson vont célébrer la musique de RUSH lors de cette tournée qui s’étendra sur 2026 et 2027. Rush is a Canadian rock band originally formed in August 1968, in the Willowdale neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, composed of bassist, keyboardist, and lead vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. The band and its membership went through a number of re-configurations between 1968 and 1974, achieving their current form when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey in July 1974, two weeks before the group's first U.S. tour.

Since the release of the band's self-titled debut album in March 1974, Rush has become known for the instrumental skills of its members, complex compositions, and eclectic lyrical motifs drawing heavily on science fiction, fantasy, and libertarian philosophy, as well as addressing humanitarian, social, emotional, and environmental concerns.

Musically, Rush's style has evolved over the years, beginning in the vein of blues-inspired heavy metal on their first albums, then encompassing hard rock, progressive rock, and a period dominated by synthesizers. They have influenced various musical artists, including Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins and Primus, as well as progressive metal bands such as Dream Theater and Symphony X.

Rush has won a number of Juno Awards, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994. Over the course of their careers, the individual members of Rush have been acknowledged as being some of the most proficient players on their respective instruments, with each band member winning several awards in magazine readers' polls. As a group, Rush possesses 24 gold records and 14 platinum (3 multi-platinum) records, placing them fourth behind the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Kiss for the most gold and platinum albums by a band in music history. According to the RIAA, Rush's sales statistics also place them fourth behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith for the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band. Rush also ranks 78th in U.S. album sales with 25 million units. Although total worldwide album sales are not calculated by any single entity, as of 2004 several industry sources estimated Rush's total worldwide album sales at over 40 million units. The band's most recent tour, an intercontinental promotion for Snakes & Arrows ended on July 24, 2008 in Noblesville, Indiana.
