Ashaine White is a London-based singer-songwriter who defines “alternative” by staying true to herself. “I want my music to represent me being myself,” she says, focusing on authenticity over trends or genre.

Raised in Enfield, Ashaine’s love for music began early, performing at the Royal Albert Hall at age 8. Though she was initially academic, her gap year at music college helped her discover her true potential. Her influences range from reggae and pop to emo bands like Paramore and Arctic Monkeys, which sparked her love for guitar.

Self-taught on guitar, Ashaine refined her sound during the COVID-19 lockdown, creating “grunge soul” with producer Gibbi—an instinctive blend of raw rock and soulful lyrics. Her upcoming EP Cause for Concern explores emotional contrasts, with tracks like “White Flag” and “All My Wrongs” blending vulnerability and raw energy, reflecting her authentic self.
