Wasser mit Geschmack 2026 – Chapter 12: Metamorphosis

Twelve years ago, a group of friends turned a field in Southern Germany into something that defied easy description. Not quite a festival, not quite a gathering – something in between, something alive. That living thing returns on 28 & 29 August 2026 for its twelfth chapter, and this year it transforms.

Zwischen Aufbruch und Ankunft – between departure and arrival. That's where Wasser mit Geschmack exists. A place you don't simply visit, but pass through differently than you came. The Stellung becomes a shifting organism: art installations that grow and change across the weekend, creatures of the festival grounds that evolve, forms that refuse to stay still. Everything here is in motion, nothing is finished, and that's precisely the point.

At the centre of it all is sound. Four stages carry melodic techno, house, trance and techno out into the open air of Baden-Württemberg – through the trees, into the ground beneath your feet. When the bass travels through the soil and thousands of people move to the same pulse, the line between strangers disappears. That's the metamorphosis that matters most.

Wasser mit Geschmack has always been a festival by friends, for friends. People arrive not knowing each other and leave carrying memories that don't fade. Chapter 12 is a festival as a place of transformation – of music, of art, of the people who show up for it.

Fejká
Hailing from Germany’s Black Forest, Fejká was discovered at 16 by electronic icon Christian Löffler, who invited him to release on his label. The dreamy sound of the German-Polish artist led to the #1 spot in Apple Music’s top electronic playlist, over 100 million streams, and a 30-city album tour. After finishing his audiovisual media studies in Stuttgart in 2019, he released his debut album Reunion, quickly establishing himself as a full-time artist. Following extensive touring, Fejká returned in 2022 with his second album Hiraeth, followed by a sold-out EU tour and performances in cities including Tokyo and Singapore. Collaborations with artists such as Christian Löffler, Hania Rani, and Jan Blomqvist, along with support from Ben Böhmer and Kiasmos, highlight the growing influence of Fejká. As a lifelong filmmaker, he creates all visual aspects of his project himself. 2025 marked a turning point: after eight years on Ki Records, Fejká founded his own label Coexist, exploring the connection between art and nature while curating events in Stuttgart featuring acts like Weval, Christian Löffler and Kiasmos. His third studio album "Azur" draws deep inspiration from the Canary Islands, reflecting a place of creativity, friendship, and reflection through its ethereal sound. His momentum continued with an official FC 2026 game feature for “Iajo,” created with Catching Flies, and a viral remix of Ry X’s “Only.”
