Ben Ellis‘Does It Get Cold In California?’ asks Ben Ellis with his latest single. Probably not, but even if it did: the British singer-songwriter's energetic indie pop would generate warmth on its own, no matter where his audience listens to him. Still largely new to the international music scene, Ellis has already enjoyed considerable success on the relevant streaming platforms since last year with singles such as ‘Ed's House’ and ‘No One Sleeps In Hollywood’. The newcomer is in no way trying to hide his soft spot for Hollywood, its myths and aesthetics. ‘The Hollywood EP’ will be released this year and demonstrates with six sleek and dynamically produced catchy tunes that the young man is blessed with some potential for a lasting career. Now it's a question of how he wants to bring this to stages all over Europe.
