I mere end to årtier har Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado sat standarden for dansk bluesrock – og med over 1.600 koncerter i 23 lande er de i dag et af Europas mest efterspurgte livebands.
Når bandet går på scenen, er det med en eksplosiv blanding af Chicago blues, rock’n’roll, boogie og soul. Publikum bliver mødt af en musikalsk kraftudladning, hvor Risagers rå og kraftfulde vokal, Joachim Svensmarks virtuose guitarspil og et stærkt rytme- og blæsermaskineri skaber koncerter, der både løfter, bevæger og sætter dansegulvet i svingninger.
Bandet har høstet priser på stribe – senest Danish Music Awards for ’Årets Danske Bluesudgivelse’ og ’Årets Bedste Live Blues Band’ i 2023 – og de har delt scene med legender som Bonnie Raitt, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Buddy Guy og Robben Ford. Med over 70.000 solgte albums, 30 millioner streams og 180.000 månedlige lyttere på Spotify fortsætter The Black Tornado med at storme fremad.

Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado "House of Sticks" releasetour!
Denmark's premier roots-rockers Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado tours Europe with their brand-new album House of Sticks released on 31 January via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.
The septet has blazed a trail across Scandinavia, Europe, Canada, the US and Asia for the past twenty years. They've been captivating crowds with their dynamic stage presence and a sound that fuses soul, Chicago blues, boogie and rock 'n' roll.
The multi-award-winning band has opened for Bonnie Raitt and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, as well as Risager himself, sharing the stage with legends such as Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall II, Robben Ford and they've sold over 65,000 physical albums and surpassed 27 million streams over the past decade.
With the release of their new album, they will continue the neverending tour, bringing their explosive live performances to old and new fans all over Europe.
