D'Sound tilbake på Salt, feirer 30 år siden platedebuten
For tredje år på rad er D'Sound tilbake for å fylle Salt. Simone, Kim og Jonny feirer i år 30-årsjubileet for debutsingelen Real Name, som ble Norges mest spilte radiosingel i 1996 og ga trioen en formidabel start på karrieren. Året etter fulgte debutalbumet, "Spice of Life", og resten er norsk musikkhistorie.
På Salt får du oppleve et av Norges sterkeste liveband, med noen av landets fremste musikere. Trioen har gjennom de 30 årene toppet VGs albumliste, mottatt Spellemannprisen og bygget et stort og trofast publikum, både i Norge og internasjonalt.
Publikum kan se frem til klassikere som Ain't Giving Up, Tattooed On My Mind, Do I Need A Reason, All I Wanna Do, Smooth Escape og Down On The Street, låter som har preget både radio, konserter, strømmetjenster og CD-spillere flere tiår.
Med ni studioalbum bak seg og ny musikk på vei i 2026 er D'Sound mer aktuelle enn på lenge. Bandet gjør kun et fåtall konserter hvert år, noe som gjør denne kvelden på Salt til en sjelden mulighet til å oppleve trioen live i Oslo.

Last year D'Sound celebrated its 30th anniversary as a band, 20th anniversary for the album “Doublehearted” (2003) and 25th anniversary for the album “Beauty Is a Blessing” (1998).
D'Sound consists of drummer Kim and bass player Jonny. The band members consider D'Sound to be a modern pop band with flavours of neo-soul, jazz og funk. When D'Sound was formed in 1993, the lineup was Simone Eriksrud, Jonny Sjo, and Kim Ofstad. They had their first rehearsals in a damp Oslo basement. The band hit the Norwegian charts with the single "Real Name” in 1996, and became the most-played song on radio that year. Their debut album, ”Spice Of Life”, was released in 1997 and established D’Sound as a band of major significance on the Norwegian music scene. Their fusion of elements from acid jazz, neo-soul, soul, funk, pop, and drum’n’bass created a distinct sound, deservedly praised by critics and the record-buying public.
In 2018 Simone decided to leave D'Sound and the band will continue to release new material with featured vocalists. D'Sound's first release with a featured vocalist was "It's Just Me” with Mirjam Omdal in 2018. D’Sound has also released singles featuring Macy Gray, Shontelle, and Armi Millare. In 2022 and 2023 Simone Eriksrud returned for two new singles and exclusive summer concerts.
