Hardline Media are proud present a dual headline tour, from the Cold Dark Depths of Norway and Siberia featuring MORTIIS and NYTT LAND, with special guest TiR from Turkey, performing their SOUTHERN RITUAL in late November across Australia.
MORTIIS needs no introduction to the Metal world, famous for being the bass player in early EMPEROR, Mortiis has since carved a long and respected career in the Dark Dungeon Synth world for the last 3 + decades. Mortiis has performed in Australia before as a solo one man show, but this time Australia will be treated to something very special... he will be bringing his band with him for the very first time, performing songs from "The Smell Of Rain" album and other volumes of Dystopian Despair. This is a first and not to be missed.

As joint headline and for their first time in Australia, Hardline prouldy present NYTT LAND from Siberia. A phenomenal aural and visual experience.
The band's style has been compared to that of Wardruna and Danheim with added traditional throat singing and handmade traditional instruments such as the Kantele and the Talharpa. Their music has been variously described by reviewers as 'truly authentic feeling', 'dark and mystical' and as 'keeping history alive'. Thematically, their work echoes many stories from Norse mythology and historic texts such as the Poetic Edda. In keeping with this tradition, much of Nytt Land's lyrics are composed and sung in the Old Norse language. See them for the first time in Australia, performing the "Aba Kahn" album and "Siberian Era" started on "Ritual".

As National support, Hardline welcome TiR. Originally hailing from Turkey, TiR are a Dungeon Synth Folk project helmed by multi-instrumentalist and composer Oytun Bektas. For over a decade, TiR has carved a distinct artistic path where ancient melancholy and pastoral introspection merge into a cinematic soundscape that bridges the past and the universal.

Not to be confused with the Russian folk-metal act of the same name, Poland's ARKONA has been producing crushing Black Metal hymns since their inception in 1993. Devoid of excess frills and gimmicks, ARKONA present a compelling sound: galloping tremolo harmonies, relentless snare blasts and vitriolic snarls flow into brooding orchestral synths and crescendos of melancholic and melodic splendour. In 2015, the band joined forces with Debemur Morti Productions, releasing the acclaimed "Lunaris" the following year — a haunted epic of primal and melodic Black Metal. In 2019, ARKONA unleashed most recent album, "Age of Capricorn”, seven anthems of nihilistic fury, strident power, and masterfully integrated cinematic orchestration, punctuated by fierce, white-hot riffs and emotive melodies twisted into corruption. Still operating with the same fervour that inspired band-leader Khorzon to found ARKONA, the Polish Horde have continued to perform onstage with frightening intensity at club shows and select festivals - such as Under the Black Sun - all the while crafting their magnificent eighth album "Stella Pandora", which darkened the sun on September 27th, 2024.

Mortiis
After Mortiis left Emperor, the Norwegian black metal band he was part of starting, in late 1992, he started Mortiis as a solo project, and released a number of solo records between 1993 and 1999.
Reinvented as a proper band, Mortiis released The Smell of Rain in 2001. Followed by The Grudge in 2004, and the remix record Some Kind of Heroin in 2006.
Disenfranchised with the brutality and hypocrisy of the record industry, Mortiis did not release a new album untill 2010, when the band self released the album ”Perfectly Defect” – as a limited edition CD, and as a free download thrugh their own website.
The next record, The Great Deceiver, was completed around 2013, but did not see the light of day, until 2016 due mostly to events beyond the band´s control. Mortiis´ personal mental health being one of them.
The Great Deceiver was finally released in March 2016.
In the fall of 2016 work started on remixing The Great Deceiver. The result was “The Great Corrupter” and features over 20 reworks/remixes of material from The Great Deceiver, by artists as diverse as Godflesh, Die Krupps. In Slaughter Natives, Godflesh, Chris Vrenna, John Fryer, Prurient, Apoptygma Berzerk, PIG, and many more. Release date has been set to April 21st 2017.
Mortiis has toured fairly consistently for the past 15 years, and has shared the stage with a variety of artists and bands spanning genres ranging from black metal, to punk to industrial and EBM. Some of the bands Mortiis has toured with are Danzig, Behemoth, Apoptygma Berzerk, Combichrist, Christian Death, Mushroomhead, The Genitorturers, Deathstars, etc.
Mortiis is currently planning additional UK and European touring in 2017, as well as a variety of new releases.
