  Allah-Las are an American indie garage rock band from California. They came about in 2008, when 3 friends, Matthew Correia (percussion), Spencer Dunham (bass), and Pedrum Siadatian (lead guitar) who worked in L.A’s well known record store, Amoeba, decided to start a band together.

  Squid

  Teeming with melodic epiphanies and layered sounds, Squid’s second album O Monolith is a musical evocation of environment, domesticity and self-made folklore. Like its predecessor, 2021’s critically acclaimed, UK number 4 album Bright Green Field, it is dense and tricksy – but also more warm and characterful, with a meandering, questioning nature. This is unmistakably music made by friends, but it’s not exclusionary – they’re inviting you in to listen with them.

  Dogsbody, the debut album by Brooklyn-based Model/Actriz (vocalist Cole Haden, guitarist Jack Wetmore, drummer Ruben Radlauer, and bassist Aaron Shapiro), is a coming-of-age album set between the hours of dusk and dawn. It is as much an exploration of love and loss as it is a sharp, piercing, and violent ode to the explosive joy of being alive - the overwhelming brightness of staring at the sun.

  The ongoing collapse of civilization becomes a lot more bearable when coupled with a spicy groove, as Belgium-based collective Lézard have quickly found out. Beneath the quintet’s functional geometry simmers a frenzied hysteria: a Boogie Wonderland for oddballs, misfits and lost souls. With a sound forged in the spirit of Devo, LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads and Belgian forebears Telex, Lézard have turned plenty of heads with their garish pop and ‘disco vogue’ art punk shenanigans. Furthermore, all eyes are on 2026 and the release of their debut album.
