Born in Montreal and based in Paris for the past few years, Charlotte Cardin shines on the global stage thanks to her striking authenticity and emotional depth. Named Billboard’s Global Woman of the Year in 2025, the Canadian singer-songwriter has amassed hundreds of millions of streams worldwide, confirming her remarkable international reach. She has graced some of the world’s most renowned stages — from Bonnaroo to Festival d’Été de Québec to Les Vieilles Charrues — earning praise from major outlets such as Harper’s BAZAAR, W Magazine, TF1, and Le Parisien.

Guitarricadelafuente se ha doctorado desde una originalidad extrema, la misma que le ha convertido en uno de los artistas más prometedores de la década. ‘La Cantera’, su primer álbum, publicado en 2022, es un salto descomunal en un artista de proyección ya internacional. Guitarrica se apoya en el folclore o en la poesía y escarba entre sonidos introspectivos pero coloridos, en una versión refinada de aquel chaval que hizo boom con ‘El conticinio’ y ‘Guantanamera’. Había madera de artista singular, la de un artista capaz de construir un imaginario visual perfectamente identificable con elementos tan básicos como un micrófono de videojuego, unos posts de Instagram o unos vídeos caseros. De ahí que el salto hacia su primera nominación en los Latin Grammy o sus recientes sold outs en México y Colombia signifique un enorme paso adelante.

También lo es su reconocimiento en Estados Unidos. Rolling Stone —que incluyó ‘Mil y una noches’ entre las 100 canciones de 2022— lo define como “un experimentador brillante y prometedor”. En idéntico ranking lo destaca NPR, (National Public Radio de EEUU), aunque en este caso por ‘Quién encendió la luz’.

Hace ahora casi una década que Sidonie se dieron a conocer al gran público, después de haber sorprendido a propios y extraños con su primer EP “Dragonfly” (Bip Bip’ 00) lleno de una sonoridad muy especial, donde la psicodelia, el rock, la música hindú o el surrealismo expuso al trío barcelonés a un escaparate mediático sin precedentes para una formación de origen independiente. Sus legendarios conciertos, con performance incluída donde podían acabar desnudos o disfrazados, no hizo más que aumentar su popularidad e inmediatamente su primer disco “Sidonie” (Bip Bip’ 01) los confirmó como algo más que una promesa.

El éxito obtenido por este debut los catapulta a la multinacional Sony BMG donde firman “Shell Kids” (Sony BMG’ 03) uno de los discos más aplaudidos por la crítica especializada y más querido por su ya masivo público, que ve en Sidonie un nuevo referente generacial por su combinación perfecta entre grupos como The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Doors, Velvet Underground o Pink Floyd. En aquel entonces algún periodista llegó a decir que “si los Sidonie hubieran publicado en los sesenta, la cultura musical española probablemente hubiera avanzado hacia otros derroteros”.

La inquietud por evolucionar como banda los lleva a plantearse el cambio de idioma en sus composiciones y gracias a “Fascinado” (Sony BMG’ 05) demuestran que el rock en Ñ tiene nuevos exponentes y horizontes, consiguiendo ampliar el género de la variada paleta musical del pop rock en castallano. Llegan entonces portadas, premios y grandes giras mientras Sidonie continúan con ese toque de dandismo vintage fresco e intacto, como remarcarán en “La Costa Azul” (Sony BMG’ 07) un verdadero mosaico sonoro que se inspira en el glamour barroco que Fitzgerald retrató en sus relatos sobre una aristocracia europea de dudoso honor... y que incluye auténticas gemas pop como “Los olvidados” y grandes perlas como “Nuestro baile del viernes”, diamantes pulidos artesanalmente con instrumentos tales como el clavicordio, melotrón, con sección de vientos y cuerdas, sitar o pedal-steel, que realzan el brillo a unas melodías afables, unas veces coreables y otras más de corte bailable.

La personalidad única e irrepetible de Sidonie ha supuesto sin ningún género de duda un nuevo soplo de aire fresco en la industria discográfica que además ha actuado como revulsivo, llevando a la banda a un status poco común, donde conservan su identidad artística en una gran multinacional que apoya todos sus movimientos. ¡Por algo será!

AMA is the first chapter of the new musical repertoire by Maria Arnal, one of the most innovative voices in the contemporary music scene, blending voice, dance, and artificial intelligence to explore the boundaries of live song.
With a feminist and critical perspective, AMA places the body as an archive of memory and resistance, and the voice as a vehicle for connection and emancipation. The show features 15 original songs that explore fundamental questions about the sovereignty of the voice in the age of AI, as well as intimacy and femininity.
Born from a collaboration with the Icelandic Intelligent Instruments Lab, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and five dancers, AMA is traditional polyphony that plays with the expressive potential of synthetic voices generated from Maria Arnal’s own. The dancers act as modulators of these voices, turning their choreography into choral singing. AMA marks a powerful return to the stage and offers a preview of her first solo album, which will be presented in national and international venues and festivals such as Ars Electronica 2025 (Austria) and Romaeuropa Festival 2025 (Rome).
