Loco DiceThe year is 1992 and Loco Dice is in his adopted home of Dusseldorf. Hip Hop controls his life. This is the precise starting point of his career. Under the pseudonym Dice'C he starts touring as rapper and Urban DJ appearing at the most important clubs in the world. Within a matter of a couple of years he is one of the few German Urban Headline acts opening for Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, jamiroquai and Usher all over Germany. In 1994 he releases his first self produced Hip Hop piece and also sidelines from his ever growing profile and starts branching out into promoting and planning Urban events and Hip Hop areas at Electronica festivals where he begins to make good friends in the house and techno scene. He begins to be present at more and more house parties and clubs and begins to recognize that this new form of music offers him more creative opportunities as a DJ, wowed as he is by the crowd response to the tracks that are dropped. So it begins at "La Rocca" where he starts playing house and within a very short space of time it 's impossible to imagine Duesseldorf's vibrant party scene. Within a year he's playing at Tribehouse and this sets the ball rolling that will transform him into a global player. After numerous German appearances, several American tours (North and South), Gigs in the UK, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Dice moved into the studio. Loco Dice's own definition of House Music is ""deep, groovy, chunky, driving, 123 Music for the Terrace. Dice really loves the smaller clubs and the Terrace bars under an open sky and this is borne out at both his residencies at DC-10 and Tribehouse. It was at Tribehouse that he was spotted by producer and DJ Timo Maas, and as a fan and a friend he signs Dice to his 4:20 imprint and together with Martin Buttrich and vocalist Phil Barnes they create their first Clubsmash "Phat Dope Shit". This is swiftly followed by remixes of "Help Me" by Timo Maas and "Toscana" by Mousse T initially just a compilation track but due to massive interest now a full dingle release and then by a new release City Lights/ Dynamite Love (4:20). In the pipeline then there are a couple of his own mix compialtions, as well as a new single "Cellar Door", a job as a presenter on MTV Europe and a constantly growing dj schedule. At the end of 2004 Loco Dice is signed to Josh Winks label Ovum Records. Following the success of "Menina Brasileira" on Ovum there's a new outing scheduled for the summer with them with "Flight LB 7475/El Gayo Negro". Before that there's a new single out on Cocoon called "Cathargo/Sorted" and one on the ueber cool imprint Rebel One. On the remix front Dice and studio partner Martin Buttrich have been very busy there's a remix of Layo & Buschwacka & Green Velvet's new piece "Life to love" out on Olmeto as well as their interpretation of Warren G feat. Snoop Dog, BReal & Ice Cube's new outing on Peppermint Jam.
