filter Festival x Fenster zum Hof-Open Air 2026

filter and Musikmaschine present: KIM CHURCHILL, THE FRANKLIN ELECTRIC and LUKE NOA at the filter Festival 2026!

KIM CHURCHILL: Kim Churchill has just released a four-part EP series, created in four different parts of the world after encounters with other local musicians. His songs are inspired by people and the environment – from the dense rainforests of British Columbia to the gritty streets of Berlin. “You’re My Window To The Sky” has garnered over 19 million Spotify streams, and the upbeat yet nostalgic indie-folk sound is a hallmark of the artist.

THE FRANKLIN ELECTRIC: Montreal-based The Franklin Electric, fronted by Jon Matte, has evolved from a personal project into a mainstay of the indie-folk scene with a loyal international fanbase. After two intense years of touring, including four European tours this year and the release of their latest album, "Victory Songs," The Franklin Electric is experiencing a powerful second wave, winning back the hearts of audiences worldwide. The band recently returned to their hometown of Montreal for concerts, including shows at MTelus and Impérial Bell in Quebec, and are looking forward to their headlining tour of Europe and the UK in 2026.

LUKE NOA: Berlin-based singer-songwriter Luke Noa has quickly established himself as one of the most captivating new voices in European indie-folk. With his natural talent for storytelling and a voice that combines warmth, depth, and honesty, Luke creates music that feels both timeless and deeply personal. In 2025, he returned with "Ten Years Later," a five-track EP that takes him back to his folk-influenced roots. Stripped-down and acoustic, the EP focuses on themes of intimacy and nostalgia, offering a raw and vulnerable contrast to the layered sounds of his debut album.

The FILTER FESTIVAL, part of FzH26, is a collaboration between the Mainz-based concert agency Musikmaschine and the Berlin-based Filter Music Group. Together, the partners present an extravagant indie-folk program featuring three international acts. Filter Music Group is an independent music company headquartered in Berlin, uniting various departments such as labels, booking, local promotion, music publishing, label services, and its own sync agency under one roof. For Musikmaschine, the Mainz-based concert agency, this new partnership represents another step towards becoming a central point of contact for select independent live music in Mainz, the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate.

EVENT INFO: The “Fenster Zum Hof” open-air festival in Mainz offers concerts from various pop genres, and sometimes beyond, including classical music. FzH26 begins on July 24, 2026, and runs until August 23, 2026, with twelve events awaiting audiences at the most extraordinary summer location in the Rhineland-Palatinate capital, when the concert agency Musikmaschine transforms the courtyard of the Landesmuseum Mainz into a festival venue once again.
