THE POOR Announces “Loud and Dangerous”
This year, THE POOR are turning their creative focus toward writing and developing a brand-new album. As part of this process, the group has announced an exciting live event titled “Loud and Dangerous”.
The event will serve as a dynamic testing ground for several new tracks, giving audiences an exclusive first listen at material still in development. “Loud and Dangerous” reflects the band’s commitment to raw energy, experimentation, and direct fan engagement during the album creation process.
In addition to debuting new music, the band have asked a few friends to list some of their favorite tunes to feature as playlists between the lineup of local bands.
“Loud and Dangerous” promises to be more than just a preview—it’s an immersive experience that captures the spirit of collaboration and the excitement of new beginnings

Poor
The Poor started out playing the pub circuit in Darwin nearly 2 decades ago. The plan was simple -, hard rockin’ hard drinkin’ and world domination. After 12 years of touring their supercharged ‘NO BS Aussie Rock’ show with local and International rock bands including AC/DC, The Screaming Jets, Rose Tattoo and the Angels, cut to the present day and The Poor are ready to release new music on their old and new fans. Original members Anthony (Skenie) Skene, Matt Whitby and (almost original drummer) Gavin Hansen are joined by relative newcomer and lead guitarist Daniel Cox. "Cry Out" released July 22 on Reckless Records.
