Deres egenkomponerte, funky soulmusikk er både velkjent og forfriskende original på en gang, der kule, sofistikerte undertoner, spontanitet og lekne improvisasjoner går hånd i hånd.
Bandet har lagt godt over 300 konserter bak seg, og har de siste årene turnert bla. Tyskland, Frankrike og Sveits, der de stadig bryter nytt territorium. De er kjent for å levere levende og ekte liveopptredener, og lar den musikalske kjemien skinne gjennom hver gang de går på scenen. Enten det er en intim klubbscene eller festival, klarer Stina og bandet alltid å fylle rommet med energi, trekke publikum inn i varmen og holde bena dine i bevegelse.

10 years of funky R’n B and soul
Stina Stenerud & her Soul Replacement sends an Arctic high pressure of energetic soul, RnB, funk and gospel. They bring us back to the roots of soul music with self-composed songs, albeit in an modern sound draping.
Stenerud's voice was created for this kind of music; bubbly and energetic when required, and careful, warm and yearning when everything is rusted down. Together with her 10 piece «Soul Replacement» band including a fiery horn section and backing singers, she demands to be heard, conveying stories of desperation and longing, love lost and found, spirit and joy - all in a well balanced and sincere style.
The band, formed in 2008, is now celebrating over 15 years of fresh, Norwegian soul music. Their debut album "Kissing Fools" was released in 2009, and the sequel "Coming Home" in 2012. The single «Sing Like Me» immediately made it to the biggest radio station i Norway, NRK P1, og the album also made it to the airwaves in USA, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Egypt and Great Britain. Since then the band released the singles "Stay by My Side" in 2015, and "Close Your Eyes" in 2016, both written by guitar player and co-former Stian Haslie.
In recent years, in addition to playing most major Norwegian blues festivals, they have also started to be noted in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and France.
