  • Basshunter
    Basshunter

Basshunter is a composer of electronic dance music. (commonly EuroDance) He is signed to Warner Records. Basshunter is the stage name for Jonas Altberg, born in 1984 in Halmstad, Sweden. His 2006 single, Boten Anna, was #1 in Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark. His subsequent single "Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar dota" has reached as high as #2 in Finland. Altberg has just released his 2006 album, with his 2007 single "I Can Walk On Water I Can Fly". He first started to produce music in 1999 with a little help from the computer program "Fruity Studio". His interest in music from there on grew exponentially. Many of his demos were widely circulated over the internet, and Jonas started to get phone calls from clubs that requested his services as a DJ. In April 2006 he procured his first real music contact, signing a record deal with Warner Music. He soon released his first single Boten Anna in Scandinavia which became an instant hit. Jonas now lives in Halmstad, Sweden, with his mother, father and his younger brother. He is a fan of "Defense of the Ancients" (DotA), which is a well known custom map for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The Swedish lyrics of the song "Boten Anna" tell the story of a female IRC user mistaken for an IRC bot by the vocalist who later finds out the truth; subsequently, however, he states that she will always remain a bot in his eyes. Despite the esoteric subject of the lyrics, the song was well-received by mainstream media, although the word bot was frequently mistaken for boat (as many people don't know how to pronounce bot correctly), and the double meaning of channel (IRC channel mistaken for the water body with the same name). The video to the song shows Basshunter riding a pedal boat down a canal which may have further added to the confusion. His IRC channel is #basshunter.se on the Quakenet network. His official website is www.basshunter.se.

  • Ultrabeat
    Ultrabeat
There are two bands named Ultrabeat. One based in England and one in Sweden.

    Ultrabeat (UK band)
Ultrabeat are an electronic music production group based in Liverpool in the North of England who primarily produce club and house music. Their output is generally classed under the genre known as Scouse House. Ultrabeat release their work via the All Around The World record label. The group is comprised of Chris Henry, Mike Di Scala and Ian Redman.

Their records have been constantly supported by DJ Lee Butler of whom helped launch them into stardom.

Their single "Elysium (I Go Crazy)", which was done with Scott Brown, is consistently mistitled as "Elysium - I Go Crazy", leading to this being its name on playlists/charts from MTV Dance and similar stations. It is also mistitled as "Don't Leave Me Hangin'"; the song's original name on some of the early promo releases.

    Ultrabeat (Swedish band)
The front man Erik Augustsson is a master of strong melodies and bombastic tunes that signifies Ultrabeat´s music. He combines modern techno/dance music with lyrics that praise and worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

"I've been a Christian as far back as I can remember, but I definitely made a decision about it when I was 12". Now, just ten years later, and still in his homeland of Sweden, Erik's taking the beauty and joy he found in his worship and translating it into the voice of superb dance music, and becoming very successful at it.

The third album "Shine through my life" is, according to many, the best album yet, packed with phat beats and Jesus centered songs - as always, dance music of the highest possible quality. Ultrabeat also got a full page feature in the biggest christian music magazine, CCM Magazine in 2003.

One of the biggest shows Ultrabeat has done was when they performed in one of Sweden´s biggest arenas, "the Globe" along with Delirious, World Wide Message Tribe, and many other top name Christian music acts.
