    French singer, actress and model Vanessa Paradis first hit the charts in 1987, at the tender age of 14. Her single "Joe le Taxi" spent 11 weeks at the top of the French charts, and proved an international success as well. She recorded two albums in Paris before traveling to New York in 1991 to record her self-titled English-language debut, with Lenny Kravitz as producer. The album's "Be My Baby" was also a hit, but Paradis' popularity waned a bit in the U.S. She recorded Live in 1994. She is the longtime companion of actor Johnny Depp. She has since appeared in several films, most famously 1999's "La fille sur le pont", a black and white romance co-starring Daniel Auteuil, and 2004's "Mon ange". It has been said that her level of fame in France is the equivalent to that of Madonna in North America. In 1991, Paradis famously promoted a new fragrance for Chanel, entitled "Coco". In the advertisement, she's dressed all in black and feathers, portraying a bird swinging in a cage. In 2004 they chose her once again to promote Chanel's new line of handbags called "Ligne Cambon". She is now promoting Chanel's "The New Mademoiselle" handbag line. Paradis released a new album in 2007. the end of 08 sees VP at 35 years young.

    Franco-rwandais, Gaël Faye est auteur compositeur interprète de rap. Aussi influencé par les littératures créoles que par la culture hip hop, il sort un album en 2010 avec le groupe Milk Coffee & Sugar. En 2013 paraît son premier album solo, Pili Pili sur un Croissant au Beurre. Enregistré entre Bujumbura et Paris, il se nourrit d’influences musicales plurielles : du rap teinté de soul et de jazz, du semba, de la rumba congolaise, du sébène… Son premier roman, « Petit pays » paru en août 2016 aux Editions Grasset a reçu le Prix Roman Fnac et le Prix Goncourt des Lycéens.

    Un EP intitulé « Rythmes & Botanique » sortira en 2017.
