Netsky

Rarely have we seen someone rise through the ranks as quickly as Boris Daenen, a.k.a Netsky. Leading a wave of new skool D+B talent from Europe with his blend of uplifting, melancholic melodies and heavy dancefloor bass + beats, Netsky’s popularity is astounding. A celebrity in his own country, he has received numerous awards and accolades and continues to impress audiences across the world with his Netsky LIVE! show with full band. Netsky signed exclusively to Hospital in late 2009; his first release was the iconic “Memory Lane” (as featured on “Sick Music 2″ in 2010) and this was swiftly followed up by his chart topping debut album – “Netsky”– in May of the same year. Following virtually unanimous praise and hype from all corners of the globe, it plunged Netsky firmly into the limelight, where he has remained ever since, delivering a potent mix of dancefloor anthems, vocal led classics and that clean cut new jungle sound which has become his trademark. Since then, Netsky’s profile as a remixer has been affirmed by his huge remixes of ubiquitous club anthems such as Pendulum – “Witchcraft”, Plan B, Leftfield – “Release The Pressure”, Audio Bullies – “Only Man”, Swedish House Mafia – “One”, Jessie J – “Nobody’s Perfect” and Rusko – “Everyday” and more. Alongside all this, is Netsky’s hectic DJ schedule and he seems to have a Midas touch, able to transform even the most subdued of parties into an ecstatic, bouncing rave within a matter of minutes. It is no coincidence that he was nominated for the Radio One ‘Essential Mix Of The Year’ in 2010. In April 2012, Netsky unveiled the incredibly impressive Netsky LIVE! show at Hospitality Brixton – a full live show with a band which he continues to tour the world with, having completed tours of the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The highly anticipated sophomore album “2” landed late in June 2012 and immediately hit the UK Top 30 and No. 1 in his home country of Belgium, later going on to reach platinum sales. 2013 has seen the ascension of Netsky LIVE! to even greater heights, with a highlight being the sell-out stadium show at the Lotto Arena in April. One thing’s for sure, 2013 is looking to be another golden year for Belgium’s premium D+B export.

Hybrid Minds

Masters of their own musical and soulful style, Hybrid Minds are at the very forefront of the thriving contemporary Drum & Bass renaissance and have been an undeniable influence on the genre since they broke through in 2011.

The UK duo’s signature style of subtle songcraft, evocative vocals and natural ingredients has taken the scene by storm and led to a whole range of incredible accomplishments and successes. As performers, they continue to hit new levels from their own headline show at Wembley Arena to selling out London’s iconic Alexandra Palace in 24 hours.

As producers they’ve amassed a high grade A-list of collaborations with inspiring songwriters and vocalists such as venbee, Grace Grundy, Dan Fable, Tom Walker, Birdy, Charlotte Plank, Charlotte Haining, Lily Denning and Grimm (to name but a few) and written three remarkable albums: First came Mountains in 2013, then Elements in 2017. Now their highly anticipated third album Tides is set for release in March 2024. Their most accomplished album to date yet, Tides features two 2023 anthems ‘If Love Could Have Saved You’ and ‘Lights’. Camo & Krooked

Michael Hitches, known to most as 'Mozey' developed a deep love for Drum and Bass in the mid noughties.

2020 saw Mozey truly make his mark with his track Ladykillaz - a modern day DNB classic that cemented him as a key player with an international fan base. He followed this up with a release schedule that reads like a bucket list of modern Drum and Bass labels - Hospital Records, V Recordings, 31 Records, Elevate, Serial Killaz and the list goes on. He then became a key artist at Serum’s burgeoning label ‘Souped Up’, regularly achieving store-wide chart number 1s and key playlisting across streaming.

In the last year Mozey has played at some of the biggest venues in the UK and Europe including Printworks and Tobacco Docks in London, Belgium, Prague, Barcelona and has just come back from a headline tour of New Zealand and Australia. This tour capped off a summer full of festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Bassfest and many more.

Mozey is a complete fan favourite, his second to none DJ sets and releases backed with social media presence has cemented him a mainstay within drum & bass, the next 12 months prove to be huge for Mozey.

British electronic music producer Tom Mundell, better known by his stage name Metrik, first appeared in 2007, however rose to recognition in 2010 with his debut EP “The Departure”.

Kanine

Internationally renowned producer and DJ, Kanine is one of the driving forces in today’s Drum & Bass scene. The London based artist debuted in 2016 and his rise to the top has been nothing short of meteoric.

Following being voted best newcomer in the 2019 Drum & Bass Arena Awards, Kanine gained the reputation of being one of the most consistent and reliable producers within the modern Drum & Bass scene.

Hailing from Melbourne/Naarm, IsGwan (Isaac Walker) is a producer/DJ and a local powerhouse in the exploding dance music scene . Although he played music from an early age, IsGwan started producing electronic music more recently in 2021 and has since developed refined sound that draws inspiration from UK Garage, Breakbeat, Dubstep and Jungle.

His music resonates with both casual listeners and music heads alike. IsGwan has supported UKG heavy hitters Interplanetary Criminal, Badger, Bullet Tooth, Main Phase and Dr Dubplate and has had his tracks played by Sammy Virji, DJ Boring, Salute, Special Request and many other big names in the industry.

Pola & Bryson

Undoubtedly two of the most exciting producers making moves in drum and bass of late, Pola & Bryson have shot onto the scene with their own carefully sculpted brand of melodic electronic music that centres around a stripped-back, organic sound palette.

Pola & Bryson’s debut album 'This Time Last Year' on their Soulvent Records imprint put the duo firmly on the map, whilst their sophomore album 'Lost In Thought' on Shogun Audio was nominated for best album in the Drum&BassArena Awards. In a matter of years, Pola & Bryson have already been enlisted to remix the likes of Moby, David Guetta, Wilkinson, Venbee, and Camo & Krooked, as well as collaborating on an EP with the legendary DJ Marky. And do we even need to mention the duo’s bootleg of Adam F’s 'Circles' that has quite literally been played in every rave imaginable?

While most producers take years to write their next album, 2021 saw Pola & Bryson write and release their third studio album 'Beneath The Surface' on Shogun Audio. A conceptual album written to an imagined landscape, this ambitious body of work has led to D&B legends such as Sub Focus claiming the duo are “leading the new wave of liquid drum and bass”.

With sophistication well beyond their young years, Pola & Bryson are showing no signs of slowing down as they continue to take their music and performances to new heights. The massive success of 'Complete', 'Tell You What I Did ft. Zitah' and ‘Into The Night’ in 2022 has now been followed by a feature on dance music superstar Sub Focus’ latest album and their recent collaboration with Emily Makis ‘Phoneline’. The latter has already cemented itself as their biggest release to date, picking up immense streaming and radio support, as well as being dubbed by many as ‘2023’s D&B anthem’.

Their rich back catalogue covers the cream of d&b labels - Hospital, Ram, Shogun Audio and Spearhead to name a few - and in 2021 they established their own pioneering ‘Technimatic Music’ imprint. With 3 albums, countless EPs and remixes of the likes of Moby and LTJ Bukem, their music has taken them around the world, their in-demand DJ sets renowned for covering the whole spectrum and history of d&b.

A Little Sound

She may only be 5ft 2, but A Little Sound is an artist causing a lot of noise right now – and for all the right reasons.

Maybe you’ve had your ears perked by her dreamy vocal hooks, or maybe you’ve seen her Tik-Toks spreading the word about drum and bass. Either way, there’s a lot to love about this exciting talent. While still in her early twenties, A Little Sound has already been responsible for the vocals behind some of D&B’s biggest anthems in recent years. “Back In Time” with Kanine, “Lakota” with Technimatic, “Rum & Lime” with DJ Gaw and Selecta J-Man – the list goes on. But she’s still only just getting started.

Despite being lauded for her vocal work, which saw A Little Sound land 2nd place in DrumandBassArena’s 2021 Award for Best Vocalist, this artist has always had the ambition to be more. Singer, writer, DJ, MC, stage host – you name it, she’s pushing to do it all. It’s a motivation that first caught the eyes of the D&B community after an epic Stay At Home Festival live stream surprising everyone with her mixing and impromptu MCing, and it has since blossomed into the start of something special with bookings for standalone sets at various events, including a headline performance at the Bristol’s legendary Motion.

While D&B is firmly engrained into A Little Sound’s direction, gun fingers and basslines weren’t always in this vocalist’s path. With a background in musical theatre and a history of performing acoustic covers since the age of 11 on her Youtube channel, this self-taught musician’s career could have been very different if it wasn’t for the influence of Bristol – a city where she and Born On Road have grown together.

With a debut EP on the horizon, along with many vocal features and live performances to come, you can expect A Little Sound to only get louder as time goes on.
