A.F.I.AFI are leaders, not followers. A collective in a perpetual state of creative evolution as fluid as the evocative figures contorting on the cover of Bodies, their newest collection of songs. The record is a snapshot of unrelenting artists in motion, unconcerned with compromise or outside demands.
The band initially summoned a steady subcultural groundswell in the mid-90s, devoid of careerist ambitions. The band first made music as teenaged misfits in an obscure Northern California town, steadily assembling a dense catalog over the years marked by its diversity and authenticity.
The platinum success of Sing the Sorrow blazed a path for a generation of hardcore-punk weaned bands to similarly crossover. 2006's Decemberunderground upended expectations again and earned AFI a second platinum plaque. Crash Love was another adventurous turn, with expansive and almost optimistic-sounding melodies, glistening with emotion. The haunting Burials arrived four years later, debuting in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The self-titled follow-up, commonly referred to as "the Blood Album," became AFI's second-highest charting album since their inception, debuting at No. 5 in 2017.

Buckethead
Buckethead is an American guitarist and composer. He is known for wearing a white plastic mask and a bucket on his head. He is a prolific composer, having released over 50 solo albums and performed on over 60 more. He has also made a guest appearance on 44 different albums from various artists. His music spans across diverse areas such as thrash metal, electronica, jazz and avant-garde music. Although a multi-instrumentalist (playing bass guitar, banjo, keyboards, ukulele, organ, violin, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, drums, gong, and piano), Buckethead is best known for his electric guitar playing, characterized by diverse playing styles spanning thrash guitar, fingerpicking, and slap guitar. Guitar One voted him number 8 on a list of the "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time". Although Buckethead now works primarily as a solo artist touring the United States with a trio, he has had a wide variety of high profile collaborations with such artists as Les Claypool, Tony Williams, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Iggy Pop, Serj Tankian, Guns N' Roses, Saul Williams, Mike Patton, Viggo Mortensen and with Bill Laswell on Praxis. Buckethead achieved a higher public profile as a member of Guns N' Roses from 2000 to 2004; however, the band only toured in 2001 and 2002 during this era. Guns N' Roses response to Buckethead's departure was: "During his tenure with the band, Buckethead has been inconsistent and erratic in both his behavior and his commitment, despite being under contract, creating uncertainty and confusion and making it virtually impossible to move forward with recording, rehearsals, and live plans with confidence. His transient lifestyle has made it near impossible for even his closest friends to have nearly any form of communications with him whatsoever." Despite this, Axl Rose has confirmed that some of Buckethead's guitar parts will remain on the upcoming Guns N' Roses album 'Chinese Democracy'. Buckethead also has a career writing and performing music for major motion pictures. Some of the films he has worked on include: Saw II, Ghosts of Mars, Beverly Hills Ninja, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Last Action Hero and the soundtrack of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

ToadiesToadies’ long-awaited eighth album, The Charmer, is their most personal and visceral release to date. One of the final recordings by legendary producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, PJ Harvey), the album captures the platinum-selling Fort Worth quartet playing live together in the studio for the first time, bottling their Southern-tinged grunge with raw power and urgency.
Formed in Fort Worth in 1989, Toadies broke through with “Possum Kingdom” and their million-selling 1994 debut Rubberneck, earning a reputation for unpredictable songwriting, heavy dynamics, and a sound that blends alt-rock intensity with the band’s roots in country, classic rock, and Texas grit. Their music has remained a cult favorite and live staple ever since, with growing crowds and celebrated anniversary tours.
The band partnered with Austin’s Spaceflight Records to release The Charmer, embracing the label’s artist-first, nonprofit model. Written largely during the pandemic, the album dives into themes of isolation, self-reflection, and inner conflict—delivered with the same restless energy and dark edge that has defined Toadies for over three decades.

Jutes
As a 90's baby, Jutes' earliest musical influences were rock bands like Radiohead, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Third Eye Blind and Smashing Pumpkins. These are the sounds that have shaped Jutes' recent full length project titled “Ladybug.” From growing up on a farm in Ottawa, Canada to couch surfing in LA, Jutes has seen all walks of life. This contrast of culture comes through in the music, his personality and on stage.

Cro MagsThe Cro-Mags were a band from New York City formed in 1982. The band, which had a strong cult following, released many records, their first two considered the most influential. They were among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal and were associated with the birth of a tougher attitude within the hardcore scene in the late 1980s. They were also one of the first hardcore punk bands associated with the Hare Krishna movement.
They first released a demo with songs that would eventually find themselves on their debut album The Age Of Quarrel (1986). The bass player Harley Flanagan and singer John Joseph were not the best of friends and eventually Joseph would part ways with the band leaving Harley to sing on the following Cro-Mags release. After The Age of Quarrel, the band released the record Best Wishes (1989). The record had a more heavy metal-influenced sound which alienated many of their fans. The band released another record Alpha Omega (1992), that saw the return of Joseph, and the departure of guitarist and songwriter Parris Mitchell Mayhew, a record that was only embraced by the most devoted of their fanbase, and followed by Near Death Experience (1993). After suffering from many lineup changes and frequent breakups, the group finally disbanded, seemingly for the last time, after this record. However, in 2000 they released a record that would almost make up for their past two releases. With Revenge the Cro-Mags came back to their early hardcore roots with songs that were comparable to their first release plus some songs with a more melodic/punk rock feel. After the release of Revenge the band broke up once again, and the internal hostility amongst band members (mainly between Mayhew and Flanagan) has never been resolved. -

I See Stars
I See Stars perfect a push-and-pull between sweeping hard rock, metallic energy, and electronic dance music on their fifth full-length album, Treehouse [Sumerian Records]. In order to achieve that often illusory balance, the Warren, MI quartet—Devin Oliver [clean & unclean vocals], Brent Allen [lead, rhythm guitar], Jeff Valentine [bass], and Andrew Oliver [vocals, keys, synths, programming, drums]—rebuilt their very foundation, creatively and personally.
“This is the most time we’ve had to create an album since 3D,” Devin admits. “We actually had time to reflect on our past, but most importantly what we want to become. Beyond the music, it felt like an evolution for us emotionally. We finally feel like the band we were meant to be. If you strip it down, it’s not just drums, guitar, bass, vocals, and minor production. The electronic aspects could be their own songs, and we aim to blend everything as seamlessly as possible.”
“We’ve had so many changes, and it’s an important time,” he goes on. “When we got back on stage, I had no idea what to expect, but our fans came out and showed love when we needed it the most. We wanted to give them what they deserve, which is the best record possible.”
In order to achieve that vision, the musicians took a different route. To record Treehouse, they enlisted a cadre of producers including Erik Ron [Panic! at the Disco, Saosin], Nick Scott [Asking Alexandria, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!], and Taylor Larson [Periphery, Veil of Maya] as well a mixing by David Bendeth [Paramore, Breaking Benjamin]. They would also track the bulk of material in Los Angeles—another first—and the rest in Detroit.
“Lyrically, this one discusses family issues,” continues Devin. “The past year has been really hard. I realized I’m on my own, and it’s do or die with this band. It’s my life.” It’s that honesty which will continue to resonate the loudest among listeners and why I See Stars shine. “This is the most honest we could be,” Devin leaves off. “That’s what I want people to see.”

EmarosaFronted by the unmistakable voice of Bradley Walden, the band returns with High Horse Heaven, their most emotionally charged and sonically expansive work to date. A natural successor to 2019’s Peach Club which peaked Top 20 on Billboard and marked their pivot into alt-pop this new album deepens the sound and sharpens the story. Bradley’s vocals remain the anchor: elastic, raw, and deeply human. Paired with a visual world rooted in legacy and emotional grit: welcome to High Horse Heaven.
