Harp2Harp - Emma Horwood and Višnja

Harp2Harp Australia is a duo featuring award-winning singer/songwriter Višnja on Celtic harp, keyboard and woodwind, joined by acclaimed soprano/pedal harpist Emma Horwood. Together they weave soaring harmonies and different harp textures from their respective contemporary and classical backgrounds into a gorgeous soundscape of chamber folk music. Since debuting as a duo in 2022, Harp2Harp have presented sell-out concerts in Adelaide Fringe Festivals and in venues including Immersive Light Arts Adelaide, SA Maritime Museum, and The Wheatsheaf Hotel. This will be the duo’s third concert at Trinity Sessions. Pushing the boundaries of the traditional harp trope, Emma and Višnja deliver the unexpected in a wide breadth of styles, from stunning arrangements of international folk songs to their own compositions that blur the boundaries between pop and classical.

Emma Horwood is an acclaimed harpist-singer, teacher and choral conductor. Playing both pedal and Celtic harp and accompanying her beautiful and versatile voice, Emma loves to connect with audiences, weaving a magic spell with her classical, celtic, contemporary and original repertoire. She is in demand as a performer and collaborator having been a part of many Adelaide groups including Syntony, Adelaide Baroque - The Firm, Rhythmsong Duo, Eve and the Adelaide Chamber Singers.

Višnja Prtenjaca has worked extensively throughout Australia following her creative and imaginative passions of song writing and performing. Her singing, harp and piano playing have seen her perform at the national Folk Festival, the Melbourne Carols by Candlelight and on film and television productions. Višnja has now settled back in Adelaide performing and is currently working on her second illustrated song book for children.
