Great Aunt is an Australian folk duo celebrated for their soaring harmonies, distinctive instrumentation, and heartfelt live performances. Winners of the 2024 Folk Alliance Australia Duo of the Year award, Megan Bird and Chelsea Allen blend elements of folk, country, and roots music with the energy and edge of their backgrounds in punk, jazz, soul, and rock—crafting a sound that is refreshingly original. With four U.S. tours already behind them, the duo is set to release their debut LP, 'It’s All Downhill From Here', in 2026. This year, they return to North America for multiple appearances, including performances at Ossipee Valley Music Festival, and Red Ants Pants Music Festival. Their music is equal parts joyful and vulnerable — and delivered with warmth, wit, and soul.
