Airwaves : Alba Akvama

Alba Akvama is a composer and songwriter from Copenhagen. She made her debut in early 2026, releasing the EP Minute Nothing. Her music has quiet intensity, built with guitar, meditative vocals and minimalist arrangements. Her music exists in a world of Joni Mitchell, Sade and dark experimental sounds.

She’s toured across the UK, opening for Mark William Lewis as well as Joanne Robertson. She most recently featured on records from peers, A Good Year’s ‘Play’ (Escho) and GB’s ‘Gusse Music’ (Posh Isolation) and ‘Herzsprung’ (AD93). The Face recently spotlighted her as a new voice to watch, capturing the stark, cinematic atmosphere that defines her sound, while The Line of Best Fit described her music as “delicate and transportive”.
