Airwaves : Brynja

Brynja is an Icelandic artist blending contemporary R&B and neo-soul with a soft, dream-pop sensibility. Her music is hopeful and honest, carried by a voice that is both intimate and confident. Inspired by artists such as Arlo Parks, Solange and Emilíana Torrini, Brynja crafts songs that linger with the listener.

Brynja’s debut album Repeat (2022) was born during her time living in the Netherlands, sharing a studio with international emerging artists. Released after her move back home, the record marked her emergence into the undercurrents of the Icelandic music scene, earning recognition such as Album of the Week on the local radio station Rás 2, a sold-out release concert, and placement in the Netflix series Katla.

Brynja enters 2026 with a new chapter of releases leading up to her sophomore album.
