Airwaves : Gosi

Gosi has been active since 2012, and is sometimes more than one person, but never fewer than Andri Pétur (the dude with the moustache), who is joined by a rotating cast of friends, collaborators, and occasional suspects.
Musically, Gosi lives somewhere on the spectrum between quirky pop and whatever genre happens to wander into the studio. Influences range from Hobbes (of Calvin and Hobbes fame) to Robert Moog, with plenty of stops in between.
The latest release is Á floti (2025), available digitally and on vinyl. By the time you’re reading this, Gosi is hopefully working on the next album. Or perhaps two albums. The exact number depends largely on how you define “finished.”
As for the name: while Gosi is also the Icelandic name for Pinocchio, in this instance it refers to the Jack playing card. Any resemblance to fictional wooden boys with questionable relationships to the truth is purely coincidental.
