Airwaves : Heartworms

Heartworms is Jojo Orme, 26 year old musician who released her debut album ‘Glutten For Punishment’ in 2025 to rave reviews. Produced by Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines DC) and released via his Speedy Wunderground label, the album taps into a linage of gothic pop songwriting, that includes PJ Harvey and Anna Calvi, while retaining Orme’s own skewiff, idiosyncratic sensibility.
All 3 of the album’s singles were added to the BBC 6 Music playlist and, alongside support tours with The Last Dinner Party, St Vincent and Jack White, Heartworms also appeared on Later…with Jools Holland (Series 66 ep1) and her own tour saw her headline Camden’s Electric Ballroom.
