Airwaves : Mackenzie Leighton

Mackenzie Leighton is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Maine, USA and based in France since 2017. Following in the footsteps of Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez, Mackenzie captivates audiences with her singular voice and storytelling, pairing her intimate lyrics with delicate fingerpicking on the electric guitar or piano arrangements from her classical music background. She writes modern yet timeless songs that blend folk, pop and jazz, creating her own unique style, while singing in both English and French. With several EPs released since she launched her solo career abroad, the latest devoted to flowers, her debut album L’étrangère will be released in 2027 alongside a film that illustrates the 13 songs.
