Bústaðu viðburðinn!

Mugison is an Icelandic singer-songwriter from the Westfjords. He started out in 2002 as a laptop troubadour with Lonely Mountain, got bored, made a rock’n’roll record with his friends (Mugiboogie, 2007) and has been mixing everything since. Rolling Stone’s David Fricke wrote he “already has a reputation abroad for bleak magic, on record and in solo appearances with acoustic guitar and laptop.”

He has won fourteen Icelandic Music Awards and two Edda Awards for film and TV scores, co-founded the festival Aldrei fór ég suður, and has toured Europe, Japan and the US, opening for Neil Young, Queens of the Stone Age and Fantômas. In 2024 he played 100 churches in 100 Icelandic postcodes. At last year’s Iceland Airwaves he performed with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. This year you get the other side of him: a bare-bones one-man show.
