Airwaves : Them Flying Monkeys

Emerging from Sintra, Portugal, Them Flying Monkeys blend post punk urgency with neo psychedelic atmospheres, earning a distinct place in Europe’s alternative scene. Known for their melodic precision and explosive live shows, the five piece evolved from DIY roots into one of Portugal’s most export ready acts. Their latest album, Best Behavior (2025), released via gig.ROCKS! and Only Lovers Records, fused rock with bold electronic textures and received praise from Rolling Stone France, It’s Psychedelic Baby, Addict Culture, Muzzart, Negative White and Persona Edition. In 2025, they played over 40 shows across Portugal, Spain and France, including appearances at ESNS, WestWay Lab, New Colossus, FOCUS Wales, Reeperbahn and Monkey Week. Following ESNS 2026, they toured the UK and Europe extensively. Their new single Attrition, out May 27 and mixed by Dom Mitchison (Bristol), explores emotional overload, anxiety and the gradual collapse caused by repetition.
