Dave Wells: The Road to Lightning Ridge is a one-off, intimate night of music, stories and connection. A warm Maitland send-off before Dave heads west for an artist residency in Lightning Ridge this September.

Joined by Loretta Wells on backing vocals, Dave will perform a stripped-back set of original songs, including new material, unreleased personal favourites and selected songs from across his catalogue. Expect a close, heartfelt evening, the kind of show where the stories matter, the room matters and every song has somewhere to land.

In September, Dave will travel to Lightning Ridge for a regional arts residency connected to Tin Camp Studios and THE Hungry Spirit, spending time in the community, developing new creative work, connecting with local artists and headlining a special performance as part of the program.

Funds raised through ticket sales will help support Dave’s journey, with remaining profits directed towards creative arts outcomes in Lightning Ridge and other needs identified by the community and the project team.
