Doel Festival aims to collectively revitalise the village of Doel and imagine a new future for it, through the power of music and thoughtful artistic interventions. Creating universes within a universe, a surrealist painting to wander inside. It is a village in rehearsal without a script. And we are at its fifth repetition, with wild curtains to lift. A lucid dream diary entry, handwritten on the 25th of July, 2026.

Doel Festival brings a curated lineup of both electronic and live music acts, as well as an open air on site art exhibition. A vibrant participative market and surprise happenings throughout. For just one day, for 14 hours long, Doel is transformed into a playground where you will meet the unexpected.

Doel Festival takes place in the nearly abandoned town of Doel, Beveren, in Belgium. This is its fifth edition.

    Efdemin, aka Phillip Sollmann, is a Berlin producer who's leading the way forward through the converging thickets of minimal, deep house and techno. Last month Efdemin released his debut album on Hamburg's Dial imprint, home to lush like-minded technoists Pantha Du Prince and Lawrence. But whereas Lawrence is about the romantic pads and Pantha the melodies, Efdemin is all about the careful, calculated groove. Wondering where this attention to detail comes from? Efdemin is a graduate of the Institute for Computer Music in Vienna, where he put together sound installations as well as worked on a contemporary opera morphing sopranos into howling voices. He also used to sing in a band, although you might not know it from his clothes. One of the snappiest dressed men in dance music, Efdemin's rarely spotted not wearing a shirt and tie.
