South Summit are soon to release their sophomore album, RUN IT BACK on June 12 and to celebrate, they have announced RUN IT BACK NZ TOUR.
Coming to Aotearoa this July and August the band will take on Queenstown hotspot Yonder on Thursday 30 July, The Loons, Lyttleton on Friday 31 July, San Fran, Wellington on Saturday 1 August and Auckland’s Double Whammy on Sunday 2 August.
Run It Back marks the band's second album, featuring stand out singles ‘TOP OF THE HILL’ and ‘ON THE DASH’ which have sent strong signals toward the confident evolution of their sound. The twelve-track record represents a period of experimentation for the band; one where they found themselves pulled towards threads of funk, hip hop and R&B, while also driven by a desire to galvanise their signature blend of reggae and rock.
In 2024, they released their highly anticipated debut album The Bliss, a reggae-infused indie rock record that showcased both tight songwriting and a willingness to experiment across styles. It debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album Charts and propelled the band into a new tier, with heavy Triple J support, major festival slots and international touring, including appearances at Falls Festival, Groovin The Moo, SXSW Sydney, Vivid LIVE Debut at the Sydney Opera House plus a huge Australasian headline tour.
After a recent visit to Aotearoa to play at Six 60’s new Country & Roots Festival Sweet Home Aotearoa, South Summit now return to New Zealand for their third headline tour in the country. These four shows promise the bands’ renowned live charisma and classic fan favourites, whilst welcoming fans into a brand new era.
San Fran holds a Supervised License, meaning minors are welcome to attend events at San Fran so long as they are accompanied by a legal guardian at all times whilst at the venue. Minors are of course not allowed to purchase alcohol under any circumstance.

South SummitHaving traversed more of Australia than most over the past 18 months, with an extensive touring schedule, South Summit are today releasing their new EP ‘Tales Of The Yeti’; an expansive, probing & multi-faceted 6-track that reflects the journey they have all been on. From late night jams, to writing on the road, South Summit wanted to explore every aspect & realm of their influences, as they worked them all into ‘Tales Of The Yeti’. Featuring previous singles ‘Just Like You’, ‘I Feel It’, ‘Tuned In’ & ‘Sidelines’, the band also added new tracks ‘Dreaming’ & ‘Fallen Friend’ to round out the release. Recorded back in their hometown of Perth, the band joined up again with longtime collaborator & producer Dave Parkin (Spacey Jane, Tired Lion, Bob Evans) of Blackbird Sound Studio. His guidance helped to take the formative South Summit jam sessions & mold their ideas into fully formed arrangements. This gave the band the freedom to experiment with styles, genres & themes, not being held down by preconceived notions & truly allowing them to discover what makes the South Summit sound. In celebration of the release of ‘Tales Of The Yeti’, South Summit will be heading out on their largest & broadest headline tour to date. Taking their songs internationally for the first time, the band will be headed over to New Zealand, to coincide with six Australian headline dates. With support from triple j for the tour, South Summit are moving from rising-stars, to headliners within their own rights. Whilst the band have been playing ‘Tales Of The Yeti’ live for a while now, this tour will also mark the first chance for fans to sing along with the tracks, with the release of the EP.
