  Szymon Mika (pronounced Shi-mon) – an award-winning guitarist and composer, recognized as one of the most accomplished musicians on the contemporary jazz scene. With a unique ability to blend diverse influences and push sonic boundaries, Szymon captivates audiences through his refined technique, signature sound, and deep musical artistry. A winner of prestigious accolades, including the International Jarek Śmietana Jazz Guitar Competition and Grand Prix Jazz Nad Odrą. As a leader or co-leader, he has released eight critically acclaimed albums and contributed to over twenty recordings as a session musician. His solo guitar album, Attempts, was hailed by esteemed critic Ted Gioia as one of the best albums of 2022 across all genres—a testament to his boundary-pushing approach to music. Szymon’s current work explores the interplay between jazz and contemporary improvised music.
