Gretta Ziller + Sari Abbott Live at The Nook Cooroy

Saturday 11 July | Doors 6:30pm | 13+ | BYO

An unforgettable night of bold, heartfelt country music featuring two compelling Australian artists bringing stories, soul and serious stage presence to The Nook.

Gretta Ziller is one of Australia’s most distinctive voices in contemporary country. Known for her fearless songwriting and powerhouse vocals, Gretta blends country, rock and Americana with a sharp lyrical edge. Her songs explore themes of independence, identity and resilience, delivered with both grit and vulnerability. Having toured extensively across Australia and internationally, and earning critical acclaim for her releases, Gretta’s live shows are as commanding as they are deeply personal, equal parts fire and finesse.

Sari Abbott is an artist shaped by movement, storytelling and connection. After spending two years living and travelling around Australia in her Toyota Troop Carrier “Bob,” Sari returned to the Sunshine Coast with a collection of songs inspired by the people, places and moments she encountered along the way. Her music blends coastal warmth with honest, grounded storytelling, creating songs that feel both personal and relatable. A CMAA Academy graduate and Toyota Star Maker finalist, Sari has performed at major festivals and alongside artists including Taylor Moss, Ashleigh Dallas, Hayley Jensen and Adam Brand.

Together, Gretta and Sari create a night of rich storytelling and powerful performance from raw and reflective to bold and electrifying.

Set inside The Nook’s intimate 40-person space, this is live music at its most immediate and immersive.

She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Melbourne, majoring in voice, and began her professional career in opera before transitioning into contemporary songwriting and performance.

She gained national attention in 2011 at the CMAA College of Country Music graduation concert with a bagpipes performance that set her apart as a distinctive new voice. Her early career included finalist placements in Telstra Road to Discovery in 2012 and 2013, winning the 2013 TSA APRA New Songwriter of the Year award, an honourable mention in the Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition, and a top three result in Toyota Star Maker in 2015.

This work now underpins her current album cycle, with new music releasing across 2025 and 2026.
