Söngvaskáldið Lyon Hansen, þungarokkhljómsveitin Tunghoyrt og Dania O. Tausen ásamt Bartal Augustinussen koma fram í veglegri tónlistardagskrá í Kaldalóni á Menningarnótt. Dagskráin er í samstarfi við Sendiskrifstofu Færeyja á Íslandi sem hefur um árabil staðið fyrir fjölbreyttu tónleikahaldi á Menningarnótt í Hörpu þar sem margir af helstu tónlistarmönnum Færeyja hafa komið fram.
16:00 – 16:30
Lyon Hansen

  • Lyon Hansen
    Lyon Hansen

We’ve known and admired Lyon Hansen for a long time. A fantastic songwriter, an excellent guitarist, and a compelling performer.

Through deep musical research, he has explored old American folk music and archival recordings. He understands the roots of this music and has made it his own. And yet—he has never been to the U.S. He jokes about it at concerts, and you can’t help but wonder: If he ever went, would he lose the magic that surrounds his music?

Luckily, he hasn’t gone yet. Instead, he has been tapping into the Faroese song treasure, and his latest concerts with new Faroese songs suggest that he may be making his best music yet.

Come and experience one of the very best Faroese artists live at G! Festival 2025.

G! Festival takes place July 17–19, 2025. You have to be there!
