Inspiring Conversation with T.A. Thompson

Bústaðu viðburðinn! What did you want to become before life got busy telling you what you should become?
T.A. Thompson wanted to be a published author from the third grade.
Then life happened.
He built a career across banking, sales, training and commercial insurance. But the ambition to write never completely disappeared.
When he finally pursued it seriously, success didn’t arrive politely.
Tracey wrote a manuscript, approached almost 100 literary agents and faced rejection after rejection.
He could have left the dream there.
He didn’t.
Years later, he returned to writing and published "The Mark", a dystopian novel exploring time, mortality and what happens when nobody gets the chance to grow old.
But this conversation isn’t really about becoming an author.
It is about the things we quietly carry with us for years.
What happens to the person you once imagined becoming while you are busy building a life?
What does rejection do to something that matters deeply to us?
And how do we know when it is time to try again?
On October 29th, Tracey Thompson, AINS, AU, joins me on Inspiring Conversations to talk about identity, rejection, persistence and the dreams that refuse to disappear.
Perhaps the question isn’t whether it is too late.
Perhaps the better question is:
What are you still waiting to become?
