Eldur ur Jörðinni: The Why and How of Iceland’s Volcanoes and Earthquakes! by Julian Lozos, Professor of Geological Sciences at California State University Northridge.

Eldur ur Jörðunni means "fire out of the earth". This talk covers the fundamental factors that produce the dramatic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions unique to Iceland. Professor Lozos is an expert in plate tectonics and earthquakes. He teaches and conducts research at the California State University Northridge. He has visited Iceland several times and his current collaborating with geoscientists at the University of Iceland, on a geophysical project.
