THE RESIGNATORS: SPECTRE BOY SINGLE LAUNCH
The Workers Club, 51 - 55 Brunswick St, 3065 Fitzroy Kort

The Resignators are bringing their new single “Spectre Boy” to The Workers Club in Fitzroy for a proper live launch, and we’re bringing some very good company along for the ride.
Joining us are Wollongong punk legends TOPNOVIL, plus Melbourne local favourites BANJZIG.
“Spectre Boy” is The Resignators’ first new single since 2023, written by frontman Francis Harrison about something that doesn’t get talked about much in a music scene built around pubs, bars and drinking.
It’s about being the person standing in the room who isn’t drinking.
You’re there. You’re part of the crowd. You’re watching everyone else connect around the bar, the rounds, the ritual and the noise. But somehow you feel invisible.
A spectre.
Rather than turning it into a lecture about drinking, “Spectre Boy” sits in that uncomfortable space of being present but slightly outside the action. It’s a very different perspective for a band that has spent more than two decades playing pubs, festivals and venues where alcohol is usually part of the deal.
And now we get to play it loud.
Expect ska, punk, horns, sweat, questionable dancing and a few songs that have been rattling around in The Resignators’ set for a very long time.
