New York based alternative folk singer-songwriter Lauren Mian combines modern sounds with traditional folk elements to share on her experiences of life, love and all else. Inspired by artists including Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, and today’s artists Lizzy McAlpine and Madison Cunningham, Lauren’s accomplished acoustic guitar playing and warm vocal tones combine to create informed narratives. Her music is sassy, buoyant, cynical, but among all else, honest. Lauren has played in a variety of venues and festivals across New York City, Brooklyn and Westchester, including notable venues such as The Bitter End, Mercury Lounge, Pete’s Candy Store, Arlene’s Grocery, and more. Lauren was recently awarded with Indie Boulevard’s “Best Indie Song” of 2024 award, and plans to make waves with her upcoming single, “Calling” which will be out on February 7.
