Mica MillarMica Millar is a British soul singer, songwriter, producer and fiercely independent creative force whose music brings a contemporary, female perspective to the timeless genres of soul, RnB, blues, gospel and jazz. Since the release of her acclaimed debut album Heaven Knows in 2022, Millar has become one of the United Kingdom’s most compelling contemporary soul voices. Her long awaited second album, A Little Bit of Me, marks her most intimate and revealing work to date, shaped by self discovery, spiritual inquiry and the emotional realities that have defined the past six years of her life.
Mica’s journey has always been one of determination, creativity and an unrelenting passion for music. As a self managed artist and the founder of her own independent label Golden Hour Music, she has defied industry norms and achieved international recognition entirely on her own terms. Her debut album Heaven Knows was self written and self produced and stands as a testament to her uncompromising artistic vision whilst exploring themes of human nature, spirituality, love, oppression, inequality and empowerment.
Five star reviews have praised her voice as timeless and euphoric. She won the Jazz FM Award for Soul Act of the Year and was inducted into the Recording Academy in 2023. International sold out headline shows, festival appearances and support slots with greats including Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie and Gregory Porter followed.
After 2 years of writing, recording, touring and managing the entire operation herself, not to mention the physical toll of her recovery, Millar realised she was in need of a fresh outlook and new inspiration. It was then that she left her Manchester studio and travelled alone across the south of France, seeking clarity. Cycling through vineyards, kayaking beneath ancient bridges and rediscovering the simple act of being present in her own body, she reconnected with parts of herself that had been submerged beneath ambition.
Mica Millar’s long awaited self-written and produced second album, A Little Bit of Me, due for release in June 2026, marks her most intimate and revealing work to date. Across the album she examines emotional duality, the tension between aspiration and self preservation, desire and truth, longing and clarity from a deeply personal, female perspective. A Little Bit of Me was recorded in Provence, France at Brad Pit’s storied Miraval Studios. Shaped by self discovery and spiritual inquiry and rich with soul, vulnerability and craft and affirming Millar as one of the most exciting voices in British soul and an artist unafraid to reveal the complexities that make her human.
