The tropics are calling — and the sound is louder, prouder, and more powerful than ever.

Dream Aloud Festival returns to Gimuy (Cairns) this October as the flagship celebration of Queensland Music Trails: The Tropics, bringing a vibrant fusion of First Nations music, culture, and creativity to Munro Martin Parklands. After an unforgettable debut, Dream Aloud 2025 is bigger, bolder, and bursting with fresh energy.

On Saturday 18 October, the Parklands will come alive with a trailblazing, all-First Nations lineup featuring Budjerah, Kaiit, South Summit, DENNI, 3%, Dubbzone, Kaweyova, and Normey Jay, hosted by the ever-charismatic Zipporah. Kicking off with a powerful Welcome to Country led by Carl Fourmile and Minjil, Traditional Owners of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji Peoples, Dream Aloud is a celebration grounded in culture, connection, and community.

Beyond the stage, Dream Aloud pulses with life: from First Nations food stalls and artisan markets, to interactive workshops, kids’ activities, language experiences, and cultural storytelling - there’s something for everyone to explore, learn, and love.

Dream Aloud 2025 continues to honour the world’s oldest living culture while amplifying the bold, new voices shaping its future. It's not just a festival — it's a movement, a meeting place, and a moment in time you don’t want to miss.

Join us for a weekend of music, culture, and celebration beneath the tropical skies of Gimuy.
